'Cadillac' health care is absurd
I read in article after article about "Cadillac" health care and how it should taxed. Are you people nuts?
This health care is part of my wages and I already pay all taxes on my wages. I've been a union carpenter for 31 years and when we receive a pay raise, part of that raise goes for health care and retirement. We don't receive the total amount on our pay check.
I am using my own money to pay for health care and retirement. No union members receive "Cadillac" health care for free - they earn it and pay for it. If you work in a nonunion type job you should pay for your own health care. Nobody rides for free.
My 21-year-old son works a non-union job and pays his own health care: Blue Cross Blue Shield, less than $200 a month.
