Sharp happy wherever he plays
Once Dave Bolland gets comfortable back in the lineup and moves up the depth chart, likely settling on the second line with Marian Hossa, it will allow Patrick Sharp to return to playing wing.
Sharp has played out of position at center since early November when Bolland went down with a back problem, earning praise from coach Joel Quenneville.
"It really doesn't make a difference to me where I play," Sharp said. "I answered the same questions when I moved to center.
"Wherever I'm put in the lineup, I'm going to play hard. There's no guarantee that being on the wing things are going to work out any better. We'll see how things play out."
Sharp's goal scoring might be down at center, although he took 16 into Wednesday's game against the Blues to go with 27 assists.
There are a lot more defensive responsibilities at center in Quenneville's system.
"It's work in different areas," Sharp said. "You've still got to work and you've still got to come up with pucks and use your speed. I wouldn't say it's less work on the wing, but different areas demand different work."
