We need to support president's vision
Gridlock in Congress is paralyzing our great nation. Our president laid out a path for both parties to follow in his first State of the Union address which, in my opinion, not only should occur, but must.
He also spoke with the House Republicans last Friday in an open and fully televised event that underscores the need to get something done for the American people.
With that said, there is no reason why the GOP cannot support the initiatives laid out by the president. These initiatives give both parties something to work with and, to me, should get done immediately. Some in the political world think that the "we" out here are no longer supportive of the president. That's not true.
We really like the guy and demand that Congress, especially the Republicans, work with him or face the voters and explain your actions come this November. The "Scott Brown effect" (and I do want to note that I and others really like this guy) can also work in the Democrats' favor too.
Stop playing politics with my and my children's futures, roll up your sleeves and solve these problems now. Stop bickering (I say this more to the Republicans) and start working. I'm tired and irritated, as are most Americans, with this ridiculous sideshow we call "Washington." Get something done now!
