Election Complaint Line: The Kane County State's Attorney's Election Complaint Line will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for today's primary. Anyone with complaints regarding electioneering, illegally placed campaign signs or denial of voting rights, among other issues, can call (630) 208-5328. The hotline is staffed by representatives of the state's attorney's office who are prepared to travel to polling places. Voters seeking polling times, places and other general information should not call the Election Complaint Line but rather the Kane County Clerk's Election Help Line at (630) 232-5990.Hoops for Haiti:A league of area private schools is using a girls basketball tournament to raise support for Haitians affected by last month's earthquake. The Fox Valley Athletic Conference hosts the Hoops for Haiti Invitational today and Thursday at The Einstein Academy in Elgin. Five schools will field seventh- and eighth-grade teams: Fox River Country Day and Harvest Christian Academy of Elgin, Quest Academy of Palatine, Trinity Oaks Christian Academy of Cary and Faith Christian Academy of Geneva. Einstein and Da Vinci Academy of South Elgin are also members of the FVAC. Proceeds from admission sales to the games will go to the Red Cross for its Haitian relief efforts. The invitational will feature three games today and three Thursday. The final is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
