Streamwood man charged with taking coffee machines
Bond was set at $10,000 Saturday for a Streamwood man charged with felony theft for allegedly taking about $4,600 worth of coffee machines and other devices from his employer and then selling them for cash for himself.
Macario D. Rodriguez, 27, of Woodbury Court in Streamwood, was charged with taking coffee machines, coffee grinders, dispensers and other machines from Elk Grove Village-based Antique Coffee & Vending Service Inc., where he was employed around June 2009. He then allegedly took the equipment and sold it for cash at a gas station, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Lindsey Gool.
Cook County Judge Howard Fink set bond at $10,000 for Rodriguez. A hearing was set for Jan. 27 at the courthouse in Rolling Meadows.
