Firehouse-themed attraction opens in Schaumburg

Both local officials and the youthful target audience were on hand Friday for the opening of The FireZone in Schaumburg, a fun and educational children's attraction.

The FireZone features a firehouse theme with real firefighters, fire engines, educational displays, firefighter activity stations and programming for children, according to staff. The business books events such as birthday parties, scouting outings and team building exercises. Drop-in use costs $9 per child over 18 months, with adults free.

The new attraction is located at 1100 National Parkway in Schaumburg, two blocks north of Golf Road and one block west of Meacham Road.
