Daniels, Vernon Hills dunk Antioch

Vernon Hills 64, Antioch 30: DaVaris Daniels hit a 3-pointer just before the buzzer to stake the host Cougars to an 18-8 lead after one quarter, and they never looked back in the North Suburban Prairie Division game.

Daniels finished with 28 points, including dunks on an alley-oop from Chris Morgan and a breakaway from midcourt.

Brian Berzanski added 8 points for Vernon Hills (13-4, 5-2).

Antioch (6-11, 2-4) received 10 points from Kyle Melton.
