Schaumburg On Stage to present 'Joseph'
Schaumburg On Stage - Schaumburg's premier youth theater ensemble - is inviting you to take a trip to the Egyptian desert this frosty January.
A cast of nearly 100 young people will be performing "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" beginning next Friday, Jan. 22.
The Biblical story of Joseph, as interpreted by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, will boast colorful costumes and rousing song-and-dance numbers.
There will be eight opportunities to see this show chronicling Joseph's rise from slavery to become a strong leader who forgives the brothers who sold him and saves both them and Egypt from disaster.
"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" will be presented at 7 p.m. Jan. 22 and 29, 2 and 7 p.m. on both Jan. 23 and 30, and 2 p.m. on Jan. 24 and 31 at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court in Schaumburg.

Schaumburg On Stage's productions are a showcase for the best of the Northwest suburbs' young talent.
The lead role of Joseph will be shared by Trace Hamilton, 17, of Carol Stream, and Tim Rittondale, 16, of Elk Grove Village.
Sharing the role of the narrator are T'Lynn Candella, 18, of Roselle, Samantha Evans, 18, of Elk Grove Village, and Amy Marik, 17, of Bartlett.
The role of pharoah is played exclusively by 16-year-old Michael Pirovano of Schaumburg.
