West sweatshirts an important gesture

Thank you, Glenbard High School District 87 community, for supporting the English Language Learners sweatshirt project. Because of your generosity I was able to give 85 ELL students a brand new beautiful Glenbard West hooded sweatshirt.

We handed out the sweatshirts before break, and the ELL staff sensed a difference in the students the rest of the week. There was a certain kindness and appreciation displayed by the students that assured me this project is worthwhile.

Many of the students know that they have unique challenges at home and school. By receiving a West hoodie, they feel appreciated and they are proud to be part of the West community. It is surprising to them that people they do not know would want to do something nice for them. You did help make a difference in someone's life.
