Fire victims moved by great generosity

My family, after losing our house and worldly possessions in Saturday's fire, has been totally floored by the kindness of those around us. Having lived in that house for nearly 16 years, we had no idea how absolutely wonderful the people around us were.

I speak for my whole family when I say that our neighbors have proven themselves the kindest, most wonderful people on the planet.

A neighborhood group, spearheaded by the magnificent Diaz family, has been helping us with clothing and food ... our next-door neighbors lent us the use of a phone when we didn't have one, and the kind nurse down the street helped my father with the burns he sustained in the fire. Absolutely everyone has had kind words for all of us whenever we walk by.

I would like to extend the deepest gratitude and appreciation of all the Forrests to everyone in our neighborhood. We're all moved by your incredible generosity, and overwhelmed by your kindness. I cannot begin to express our thanks.
