Devin on Devin: Hester likes what he sees in Aromashodu

For the first time this season, the Bears are expected to frequently utilize a "Double Devin" offense.

Devin Hester is expected back from a calf injury for the first time in four weeks, and Devin Aromashodu is looking to build on his breakout performance of last week.

Aromashodu, who caught 7 passes for 150 yards and the game-winning 39-yard TD Monday night, was a nonfactor for most of the season until Hester's injury gave him an opportunity. Aromashodu's productivity has surprised some, but not Hester.

"I knew all along from Day One," Hester said. "I played with D.A. in high school, and we played on a couple all-star teams. I knew what type of guy he was. I put in a lot of words to the coaches, to (wide receivers) coach (Darryl) Drake and everybody. D.A. is a playmaker, you've just got to give him a shot."

Even without injured rookie Johnny Knox, the two Devins and Earl Bennett (51 catches, 690 yards) give the Bears three legitimate weapons.

"It just brings another key weapon to the field," Hester said of Aromashodu. "Now teams are really going to have to respect us and not just focus on one or two receivers. Now we've got three or four guys who can really change the ballgame. D.A. just adds to the collection."

Hester attended Suncoast High School in Riviera Beach, Fla., while Aromashodu prepped at nearby Miami Springs High School.
