Hanover Park police awarded grant

The Hanover Park Police Department has been awarded a grant to purchase additional radios, saving the department more than $5,600.

The grant was given through the Local Law Enforcement Officer Safety Equipment Program administered by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority.

The purpose of the program is to provide assistance to local law enforcement agencies in funding the purchase of mobile data computers, radios and digital video/audio recording systems.
