Coat collection at Delnor:

Today is the final day that Delnor Hospital will collect new and used winter coats, mittens, gloves, scarves and hats in its Coats for the Community drive. Drop them off with the valets at the main entrance, 300 Randall Road, Geneva, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Photography at library:

An exhibit of photographic works by Daniel Teafoe closes today at the St. Charles Library. Teafoe's subject matter ranges from macro mode floral images to portraits of pop icons. There are 47 photos on display, including several original 3D/lenticular images. Teafoe has also shown his work at the Campbell House, Fermilab and the Norris Center, as well as in Chicago, Oregon and London. The library is at 1 S. Gift cards for blood donors:

Heartland Blood Centers is offering $5 McDonald's gift cards to people who participate in National Blood Donor Month by giving blood in January. Donors also receive basic medical examinations of their temperature, pulse rate, blood pressure and hemoglobin level. Upcoming blood drives in the Tri-Cities area are planned for 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 6 at First Choice Bank, 1900 W. State St., Geneva; 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Baker Memorial Methodist Church, 307 Cedar Ave., St. Charles; 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 320 Franklin St., Geneva; 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at John Stewart Elementary School, 817 Prairie Valley Street, Elburn; 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 24 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 950 Hart Road, Batavia; and 8 to 11 a.m. Jan. 25 at the Geneva Park District, 3507 Kaneville Road. Geneva tree disposal:

Trash haulers will pick up natural Christmas trees for disposal the weeks of Jan. 12 and 19 in Geneva. Place trees at the curb by 7 a.m. on your normal garbage pickup day. The service is free. Wreaths and roping will not be accepted, and should be placed in the regular trash.
