Bartlett

• Rony E. Lopez, 20, of the 3000 block of Lynnwood Court, Streamwood, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. Dec. 17 at his home and charged with two counts of aggravated driving under the influence, two counts of motor vehicle accidents involving death or personal injuries, and traffic violations.

• Burglars broke into a 2006 Hyundai Tucson on West Country Drive Dec. 20 and stole a purse and contents valued at $577.

• Thieves stole jewelry valued at $3,000 out of the room of a 97-year-old woman on Carillon Drive Dec. 20.

• Three men stole a wallet with checkbook, value estimated at $62, out of a car in the female victim's garage on Ann Court around 1:20 a.m. Dec. 18. They ran off when she confronted them.

• Thieves stole a jacket and passport, value estimated at $60, from a male customer at Cadillac Ranch, 1175 W. Lake St., around 2:30 a.m. Dec. 18.

Hanover Park

•Kevin Werba, 22, of the 100 block of North Marilyn, Northlake, was arrested around 1:55 a.m. Dec. 20 and charged with criminal damage to property on the 1500 block of Celebrity.

• Paris Martin, 20, of the 1300 block of Greenbrook, Hanover Park, was arrested around 1:20 p.m. Dec. 20 on the 1700 block of Lake Street and charged with possession of marijuana and a traffic violation. Sirell Bell, 25, of the 700 block of North Homan, Chicago, was arrested at the same time and place on an Elgin/Bartlett warrant for driving while license suspended.

• Fernando Serna, 20, of the 600 block of Iowa, Addison, was arrested around 9 a.m. Dec. 19 on the 2100 block of Narcissus on a warrant out of Addison for a strong armed robbery.

• A man snatched a woman's purse around 7:10 p.m. Dec 21 at 2040 Army Trail Road.

Hoffman Estates

• A man pointed a black handgun at a 33-year-old man in an apartment parking lot on the 700 block of Hill Drive around 12:35 a.m. Dec. 19. The robber, around 30 years old, grabbed the victim's jacket to hold him and ordered the man to give him what he had. The victim pulled surrendered several small bills in his pocket.

• Burglars broke into a 2008 Mitsubishi Galant at a home on the 1000 block of Dovington Drive between 10 p.m. Dec. 20 and 12:45 a.m. Dec. 21 and stole a purse with a GPS unit and $200.

• Burglars broke into a Nissan Altima at a home on the 2100 block of Hassell Road between 11 p.m. Dec. 19 and 6:45 a.m. Dec. 20 and stole an iPod.

• Burglars broke into a 2003 Honda CR-V in a restaurant lot at 2350 Hassell Road between 10 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Dec. 19 and stole an iPod valued at $350.

• Thieves stole a snowblower valued at $1,000 out of a yard at a home on the 600 block of Alhambra Lane between 10 p.m. Dec. 18 and 6:30 a.m. Dec. 19. Tracks in the snow show that an offender pulled the snowblower down the driveway. The tracks end at the street.

Palatine

• Burglars removed the lock on a 53-foot trailer attached to a semi-truck in a strip mall parking lot at 1724 N. Rand Road between 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 and 1 p.m. Dec. 20 and stole an unknown number of boxes containing auto carburetors and starters.

• Miguel Angel Sanchez-Gil, 23, of the 4100 block of North Bonhill Drive, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 2:10 p.m. Dec. 20 at Walmart, 1555 N. Rand Road, and charged with retail theft. Reports said he hid four DVDs valued at $67 in his pants pocket.

• Vandals used screws to puncture the two rear tires on a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox in an apartment lot on the 500 block of East Palmer Lane between 12:50 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. Dec. 19. Damage was estimated at $372.

Schaumburg

• Robert D. Saviano, 36, of the 2300 block of Discovery Drive, Schaumburg, was arrested around 12:10 a.m. Dec. 18 near his apartment building and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Reports said an officer found a crack cocaine pipe in his pocket. His court date is Jan. 8.

• Naeem R. Oquendo, 17, of the 1100 block of Regency Lane, Carol Stream, was arrested around 2:40 p.m. Dec. 19 at H&M in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft. His court date is Jan. 28.

• Carlos A. Soto, 17, of the 900 block of Mulberry Lane, Streamwood, was arrested around 9:55 p.m. Dec. 18 at J.C. Penney in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft. His court date is Jan. 28.

• Christine A. Evers, 49, of the 500 block of Acadia Trail, Roselle, was arrested around 3:45 p.m. Dec. 18 at Costco, 1375 N. Meacham Road, and charged with retail theft. Her court date is Jan. 28.
