Nominations needed for Hanover Community Service Award
Hanover Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire announced nominations are now being accepted for the 2010 annual Community Service Awards.
The program is designed to recognize organizations and individuals who volunteer time to make Hanover Township an outstanding place to live, work and raise a family.
Awards are selected by a committee of dedicated volunteers from the community. The 2009-10 committee is made up of the following volunteers: Linda Best, chairman; Lori Ann Airdo; Lee Beattie; Edward O'Connell; and Christine Buchanan.
The 2010 annual Community Service Awards to be given are: Adult Volunteer Service Award (18 years or older); Business Community Service Award; Service Club/Organization; Youth Service Award (under age 18); Senior Volunteer Service Award; and the Supervisor's Choice Award.
Candidates will be judged on three categories: Leadership, commitment and impact.
Applications for nominations are available at Hanover Township, 250 S. Route 59, in Bartlett, and online at Hanover-Township.org.
Awards will be presented at a private banquet in March. For information regarding this program, or if you are interested in serving on the Hanover Township Supervisor's Award committee, contact McGuire at (630) 837-0301 or (630) 540-9085.
