Bolingbrook police investigate stabbing death

Bolingbrook police on Saturday were investigating what appeared to be the stabbing death of a Romeoville man on the 100 block of Campbell Drive.

Police said they got reports of shots fired on Campbell shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the 30-year-old victim lying in the street, dead. Police said the man had what looked like a knife wound in his neck.

The stabbing might have occurred after an argument inside a Campbell Drive home, police said. There were no signs that a gun had been used in the crime.

No further information about the victim or the crime was available Saturday afternoon from police or the Will County Coroner's Office.
