Tax Nobel Prize money at 90 percent

President Obama acknowledged in his Nobel Prize acceptance speech that his "accomplishments are slight" and that others were "more deserving." How right he was.

I'm reminded of how a special bill was passed earlier this year to tax bankers' bonuses at the rate of 90 percent. At the time it was said that no one who accepted federal bailout funds after running the banks so poorly deserved such generous bonuses.

Well? Obama has done nothing so far to lift this country out of its recession. As a matter of fact his actions and proposed policies have worsened the situation. Now he's adding troops to our war effort.

As he admits that his accomplishments are slight and he is less than deserving, I think it's time to tax his prize money at that 90 percent rate. To quote U.S. Rep. Earl Pomeroy, Democrat of North Dakota, "Have the recipients of these checks no shame at all?"
