One injured in fire at Schaumburg house
Schaumburg firefighters responded to a blaze at a home in the 100 block of Aspen Lane Saturday morning.
One resident was taken to an area hospital with a nonlife threatening burn, said Schaumburg Police Sgt. John Nebl.
The fire started in the garage and spread to the house, including the upper and lower floors, Nebl said. The fire department has not yet determined a cause, he said, adding that the damage to the home is extensive.
Eight or nine fire trucks responded to the single-family home, said Willard Pearson, a witness who lives nearby.
