Wheaton theater plans in good hands
The Daily Herald's editorial "Wheaton should seize this opportunity" is farsighted and wise.
As one who worked with Ray Shepardson in the 1970s on his first great theater project, Cleveland's Playhouse Square, I'm happy to report that those four theaters are a steady beacon, annually drawing thousands of people from all over this region into our downtown to eat, drink and spend money.
Ray Shepardson is a sage but frugal theater restorer genius and an experienced and well-connected impresario. He devised The idea of public-private partnerships at Playhouse Square. In Min and Tim Rater you have the potential for Wheaton's exuberant revitalization.
