Angelo's to blame for Bears' mess

All this week I have heard nothing but fodder about the imminent firing of Lovie Smith and or Ron Turner. As far as I can tell neither one of these coaches had the responsibility for trading away a steady field manager in Kyle Orton for the Interception King Jay Cutler, plus next years number one draft pick. Nor did either of them contract with two offensive linemen who are a complete bust, an aged veteran and a player who had one good or soso year.

Also I don't recall either of them drafting players who have been mostly less-than-promising first rounders, including a tight end who doesnt know the first thing about blocking and shows signs of hearing footsteps. It appears to me that most of his draft selections don't realize their potential until they have been cast aside, Orton, Berrian, Benson, Columbo just to name a few. Yes, there have been a few pleasant surprises, but even a blind squirrel can fined a nut once in awhile. Hester, Knox, Briggs are the real deal.

The person who should have his head on the firing block is Jerry Angelo. How he has escaped a less that respectable performance I will never know. Just remember, Smith and Turner dont take snaps, they dont block anyone, they don't catch passes but they do take the brunt of blame from washed up retired sports analysis, newspaper writers who never have seen a field of play and Monday morning QBs.

Fans, speak your mind on who really is responsible for what the Bears are about. Aim your wrath at the person who is responsible for providing quality material to work with before you roast two coaches who have to work with what they are given, aka Jerry Angelo.
