Insurance firms are health care problem

I think the politicians, from the president on down, are all looking at health care with blinders on. I feel the true problem lies with the health insurance companies.

My daughter visited the ER recently for kidney stones, and after receiving numerous laboratory tests and a CT scan, she received a bill from the hospital for $6,949, yet my health insurance company only paid a mere 10 percent of this total bill.

They show a "Network Discount" of $6,260. This is outrageous. If my daughter was one of the millions of Americans who had no health insurance she would be expected to pay the total bill of $6949. How does this make any sense?

I and my employer pay huge premiums to the insurance company, yet that cannot even pay half of a submitted insurance claim. This is nothing but legal stealing. Health insurance needs reform, but not what the president or Congress are suggesting. Open your eyes and see where the true problems are.
