Pork must be pared from health bill
I read that Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana voted for the health care reform bill. She was on the fence until $100 million was included for her state to help pay for costs for the poor.
I call this a form of "pork" or worse, being bought out. How would she have voted without the inclusion of the money? By copy of this letter, I am urging U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam and Sen. Dick Durbin to analyze this bill and delete all such provisions. This is too important of an issue for politics as usual; it's time to get it right for once.
