Grayslake business of the year:

Grayslake's Economic Development Commission has named The Vine as its 2009 Business of the Year winner. The Vine, in downtown Grayslake, is a wine and martini bar and restaurant. The award was presented to The Vine as part of a Grayslake Chamber of Commerce holiday installation gathering Thursday. Village officials said the award, in part, goes to a business or individual who brings increased awareness and positive recognition to Grayslake. The Vine was specifically recognized for its substantial business investment and being a major contributor to the Center Street area. The Vine opened in 2006 and expanded in 2008.
