Favorite Teacher Night at Stevenson

On Saturday, Nov. 21, the Stevenson High School hockey players, both varsity (V) and junior varsity (JV), invited their favorite teachers to the first ever Favorite Teacher Night.

Each player gave two of their favorite teachers a free pass to the game vs. Glenbrook South. The teachers were also entered into a drawing for the honorary puck drop.

The puck drop winners were: Katie Coppin, a first-year Spanish teacher invited by Matt Fasano (V), Tom Schroder (V) and Jake Samson (JV); and retired biology teacher and assistant baseball coach Bob Taylor invited by Andrew Schapen (JV).

The varsity student athletes skated to a 5-5 tie with Glenbrook South and junior varsity won 5-0.

Also, thanks to some of the other teachers who came out to the game, Sean Carney, Mr. Enright, Mr., Habel, Aaron Wellington, Mr. Block, Tim Meyer and Sue Petschow.
