Bears sign LB Malast to practice squad, put Tinoisamoa on IR

The Chicago Bears signed LB Kevin Malast to the practice squad and placed LB Pisa Tinoisamoa on injured reserve today.

Malast was an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers who spent the 2009 preseason with the Bears, recording a team-high 19 tackles.

Tinoisamoa started two games at strongside linebacker this season for Chicago, registering five tackles and one forced fumble before leaving with a knee injury in Week 6 at Atlanta which sidelined him for the remainder of the 2009 season.
