Vernon Hills' boys basketball team won its third straight game at Northridge Prep and concluded the tournament in style.

The Cougars won 79-34, as all-tourney selection Chris Morgan led the way with 17 points.

Vernon Hills (3-1) also got 13 points apiece from DaVaris Daniels and Brandon Curry.

Deerfield 59, Lake Zurich 40: At Palatine, Marko Grcic scored 20 points for the Bears (0-4).

Evanston 92, Carmel 59: At Mundelein, the Corsairs fell to 2-3 with their third straight loss.
