Warrenville battery suspect pleads guilty

A 23-year-old Warrenville man who was charged with felony counts of aggravated battery following a fight last December pleaded guilty to a reduced charge Thursday and received two years probation and 180 days in jail.

Jeffrey Grimes was accused of kicking and punching a man in the face and stomach during the fight and stabbing him in the leg.

The deal allowed Grimes to plead guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge and remain free after serving 144 days in jail.
