Outlook A former Barrington and University of Illinois standout, Ashley Berggren takes over the reins at Schaumburg. "Our team has the potential and desire to be a formidable contender in the MSL West," said Berggren, who also starred on the softball team at Barrington. "We have strong senior leadership complimented with young talent." One key graduation loss for the Saxons was Sarah Kellermeyer, an all-area forward who averaged 14.3 points, 7.8 rebounds 1,8 assists. Back for the Saxons will be Kosla, who has run the point the past two seasons. "Taylor Kosla will provide senior leadership while sophomore Alyssa Saklak has the potential to be a dominant force in the league," Berggren said. "We will play an up-tempo style of basketball with pressure team defense and an aggressive attacking offense."
