Last year: 14-18, 5-4, second in the Metro Suburban Conference; lost to Trinity 51-17 in Class 3A Fenton regional final.

Top players: McKall Pugliese, sr., G; Michelle McEvoy, jr. G; Katherine McEvoy, jr., G; Kasey Kramer, jr., F; Sidney Montano, fr., F.

Scouting report: Anderson calls this the most inexperienced group he has had in 22 years at Fenton. The Bison do boast young talent, as well as speed and flexibility in the backcourt. Pugliese played out of position at point guard last year and still made 50 3-pointers. She will slot in at either guard position. "Just an outstanding shooter," Anderson said. Pugliese will team with the McEvoy twins in a quick three-guard lineup. Kramer at 5-foot-9 is the tallest starter on an undersized team. Fenton's juniors won conference titles the last two years at the lower levels. Anderson isn't naive to assume that will translate immediately to the varsity level, but the science teacher loves this group's chemistry. "It's the kind of group," Anderson said, "that might surprise some people at the end of the year."
