Lisle man charged with sexual abuse

Police have arrested a 30-year-old Lisle man they say was having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

Mauro R. Brito, of 4945 Keller St., #106, is charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony, Lisle police Sgt. Randall Johnson said Wednesday.

Brito and the girl both live in Lisle. Johnson was unsure how long the relationship had been going on.

"It wasn't a forcible thing, but he's 30 years old and she's 14," he said.

The girl's father discovered the relationship and reported it to police.

Lisle police, assisted by the DuPage County Children's Center, arrested Brito Wednesday and took him to the DuPage County jail. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
