Out-of-state carrier a pain in the back
I, like many of you, was very skeptical of health care reform and thought it was nothing more than just bull until my wife's employer changed their health insurance carrier to an out-of-state nationally known insurance company.
My wife at the time was going through some very agonizing back problems, and going through an out-of-state carrier only added to her pain and suffering. Her back problems persisted for months and so did the complicated problems. It was just one problem after another.
The answer to the nation's health care problem isn't the ability to cross state lines to purchase health insurance, because, that answer is nothing more than a smelly dead fish, and doesn't even begin to answer the real problems of why health care costs are spinning out of control. We need reform now, not yesterday.
