What about the cost of war?

The health bill, as passed by the U.S. House, extends coverage to 36 million Americans not now covered. How can anyone object to that?

Yes, I, too, wish we all had the health insurance Congress provides for itself, but that's no reason to deprive those who don't have it from getting coverage, now. The Republicans are playing games, protecting their election support from lobbies, instead of meeting the national need.

They say nothing about the cost in billions per month to keep the wars going in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their lobbyist private contractors have taken billions from the taxpayers, and corporately profit from each day the war continues, while American servicemen and women die, along with hundreds of innocent Iraqis and Afghans.

Fox News pundits are firmly in the back pockets of corporate interests and their listeners are victims, dupes of lies, misinformation and misleading propaganda.
