Village should try to rid area of coyotes

A Schaumburg resident (of Lincoln Meadows apartment complex) just saw a couple of coyotes. And this is at 3:20 in the afternoon today, Nov 5th.

And over the past few weeks, many other local residents, walking their kids/dogs have also spotted them in the woods nearby the back end of the complex near the Marriott.

They all said that they were the size of large German shepherds.

Who do you think needs to know about this, because the Village of Schaumburg's "Animal Control" department said that they don't do anything about them. But that they are aware that they are out there.

Just don't leave food out they said. Keep kids and dogs indoors. Duh! They then said they - the Village - are not even allowed to trap them! Meaning I guess, until a kid is eaten up, or a dog has been chewed, the Village of Schaumburg can't do anything about them? We'll take this further. I know the Daily Herald can help.

These coyotes are this close to an apartment complex and they can't do anything? You got to be kidding me!
