DuPage vaccination a pleasure

When the DuPage County Health Department received its second batch of swine flu vaccine, I made an appointment to get my shot. I drove over there thinking I'd probably have to park a mile away and wait two hours standing in line even with the scheduled time.

What a surprise I had. I pulled into the parking area and there was a security person directing traffic. He pointed the way and I parked right in the first row in front of the health department. Inside the front door another security person directed me to a gal with an orange vest who gave me a clipboard and pen to fill out a form.

Then it was into another line with a short wait and so on. I was amazed at the organization and efficiency throughout the entire process. There were many individuals with orange vests directing people into various lines, rooms, around corners, down hallways and stairs and eventually to the vaccine area.

The process was smooth, fast and entirely pleasant. It was actually more fun than the famous corn maze I walked through in Godfrey, Il, and I didn't get lost here. I commented to several people about how well they did. I would just like to commend everyone who was on duty that day and thank you for the outstanding job you did. I certainly appreciated all the effort you put into the vaccine program that day.
