Disappointed with Roskam vote

I am extremely disappointed that my Congressional representative, Peter Roskam, voted against meaningful reform of the health care system. I have written to him on several occasions to inform him of my views on this issue and urged him to support HR 3962.

Apparently, he only listens to constituents who support his stance, his party leaders, the fear mongering talking heads of the far Right and the health insurance industry. One of Mr. Roskam's campaign promises was to bring affordable health care to all citizens within his district.

So far, he has only supported his party's efforts to derail the kind of real reform this country needs. Mr. Roskam has one more opportunity to do so when the reconciliation bill is eventually presented to the House for passage. Now is the time for him to act and prove that he truly listens to his constituents, supports meaningful health care reform and keeps his promises.
