Subco buys Wagner Excello
WEST CHICAGO - Subco Foods, a dry food contract packer/private label manufacturer, announced that it purchased Broadview-based Wagner Excello Foods for an undisclosed sum.
Wagner manufactures and markets a variety of liquid food products, anywhere from single-serve to 5 gallons size for the consumer products and food service industries.
Subco Foods in West Chicago produces dry food products including hot cocoa and cappuccino mixes, soup bases and bread and cake mixes.
In purchasing Wagner, Subco "greatly expands its potential for growth in liquid filled products as well as the ability to maximize synergies," according to the company.
