Christian Liberty bows out in Serena sectional

With a 25-15, 25-11 victory in the Class 1A Serena sectional semifinal, Hinkley-Big Rock (26-8-1) ended a history-making girls volleyball season for Christian Liberty Academy Tuesday night.

The Chargers, who were led this fall by senior co-captains Taylor White and Amy Farmer, became the first sports team at the private Arlington Heights school to win an IHSA regional when the Chargers defeated North Shore Country Day last Saturday.

Coach Natalie Salsgiver's Chargers completed their season with a 16-14 record.

This is the first year Christian Liberty has been an IHSA member.
