President will try for a peaceful world

Congratulations to the 69 million American voters who had the foresight to elect Barack Obama as 44th President of the United States. You just won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

President Obama will accept the prize on your behalf, and on behalf of the billions of people around the world who breathed a huge sigh of relief on Nov. 5, 2008. The Nobel Peace Prize committee recognized what we knew when we cast our votes. President Obama would do everything in his power to make Earth a more peaceful planet.
