It's not too late to speak on health care

The stimulus bill was forced through Congress without any of our elected officials, including Obama, reading the bill. The stimulus bill sneaked in $1.1 billion to create the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research. The 15 member council is already in place. Our health care will be rationed by this council that will determine who gets what care.

How underhanded was this?

If the American people had seen this, like the end of life provision that has created so much controversy in HR 3200, we would have revolted. But because it was sneaked in and we had no idea what was in the bill, we are stuck. So much for Obama's promise of openness and transparency.

Our president and members of Congress and their families have exempted themselves from participating in this socialized government-run health care. I guess it is not good enough for them, but we should just accept it without a fight.

A few members of Congress have said there should just be a public option and not private insurance companies, so eventually they want to eliminate the private insurance companies and we will have government run health care. So where does it stop? Will the government take over the automobile, life, and homeowner's insurance industry? I cannot believe how our government officials have characterized the protesters. Nancy Pelosi called us "un-American" for voicing our opinions.

What took us so long to stand up for our rights and call these representatives and senators on their positions? Did they forget that we elected them to serve and work for us, the people? Their arrogance is chilling.

The American people are upset with our government and we are on a roll.

Let's contact our president, senators, and representatives and tell them how we feel.
