Hanover Park police arrest three men on drug charges

Three men were arrested by Hanover Park police on various drug charges, after authorities received complaints from the public.

The Hanover Park Police Department, with assistance from Streamwood police, executed a search warrant on Wednesday at 2001 Stairway Drive in Hanover Park. Police reported finding 300 grams of cannabis and a handgun.

Officers arrested Tommie L. Smith, 54, of 2001 Stairway, and charged him with one felony count of unlawful delivery of cannabis and one count of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, police said.

Jimmie B. Smith, 29, of the same address, was charged with one felony count of unlawful delivery of cannabis. Manuel T. Porties, 53, of 565 S. State St. in Elgin, was charged with one felony count of unlawful delivery of cannabis, according to police.
