Outlook This game is all that stands in the way of Glenbard West claiming a top seed in the Class 7A playoffs and a second straight outright West Suburban Silver title. The Hilltoppers' potent "O-Train" rolled on last week as the offense piled up at least 40 points for the fourth straight game and the fifth time this season. As the team's averaged 300 rushing yards, Pierre Washington-Steel, Adam Bruere and Steve Jones have accounted for nearly equal carries and yardage. Six players, though, boast at least 200 rushing yards beyond a line anchored by junior Jordan Walsh and sophomore Johnny Caspers. Quarterback Tyler Warden, meanwhile, has quietly completed more than 70 percent of his passes with 10 touchdowns and only 1 interception. Keep an eye on play-making receivers J.T. Mesch, Nick Burrello and Will Caspers. The Hilltoppers' "Dark Side" defense faces yet another spread offense, this time led by talented and speedy quarterback Ryan Mitchell and running back Nick Brown. With leaders like Tommy Schutt, Connor Loftus, Beau Warden, Mike Laning and Tim Hollowed, it's little wonder Glenbard West's defense is allowing fewer than 200 yards per game.
