Silent Majority must speak up on prayer

When are we going to stop the "Minor Minority" from forcing their so called rights upon us? We chose to live in a community that supports the true family values and is not afraid to stand up for "In God We Trust."

Having attended many Wheaton City Council meetings, I have been greatly blessed to know that our elected officials realize that to seek God's leading and direction is an added benefit in making many of their difficult decisions. Our country was founded on the word of God and prayer. It is important that we continue to seek direction and guidance from the creator of the universe. Our councilmen and the mayor have been elected by us to represent us. We ask that they seriously consider that point and our desire to live in this great community that realizes the power of prayer.

Perhaps the Freedom From Religion Foundation could attend one of our local churches and experience the joy and comfort we receive realizing that the God we talk to loves all the world. It is time we, the "Silent Majority," speak up for what we value.
