Hundreds of kids expected at Woodfield bash

Woodfield Shopping Center is expecting hundreds of children at its third annual Halloween Bash.

The Bash for children runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 30, at the Schaumburg mall.

The free event takes place on the lower level in front of Lord & Taylor. The Club Kidfield Bash has grown from 350 participants in its first year to more than 600 last fall. Families are encouraged to check in for the event early, beginning at 9 a.m.

Festivities will include a Halloween costume contest with prizes awarded for the most original costume, best impersonation of a favorite character and scariest costume. There will also be Halloween themed games, crafts and complimentary goddie bags for all Club Kidfield members.

The group, geared for children under the age of 12, meets on the last Friday of every month.
