Brocade, Motorola collaborate

SCHAUMBURG - Brocade and the Enterprise Mobility Solutions business unit of Motorola Inc. announced a strategic agreement Wednesday to collaborate on wireless LAN, voice-over-WLAN, mobile unified communications/fixed mobile convergence, cloud computing and wireless broadband technologies. By bringing together two industry leaders, this collaboration will enable customers to leverage best-in-class, end-to-end solutions to help accelerate business growth, simplify network operations and increase productivity, the companies said in a statement. Also, Motorola said its Home & Networks Mobility business was chosen by Imagine Communications Group in Ireland to "design and deploy a WiMAX network to replace Imagine's existing wireless infrastructure nationwide.
