Wheaton police say man exposed himself to girl

Wheaton police say they're searching for a man who exposed himself to a young girl Tuesday morning in the vicinity of Franklin Middle School, 211 E. Franklin St.

Police said the girl was walking to school about 7:50 a.m. when a man who was inside a parked van opened the vehicle's sliding door and exposed himself.

The man made no effort to lure the girl to the van.

The girl reported the incident to her school counselor after classes on Tuesday and school officials immediately called police.

Police said they have no description of the man. The van was a newer model, hunter green, with the front license plate mounted on the driver's side front grill.
