Sign up for Prospect show choir workshop

The deadline to register for the 5th annual show choir workshop at Prospect High School is Oct. 31.

The workshop for area 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls is from 12:30-8:30 p.m. Nov. 15 and is run by Jennifer Troiano, head of the Prospect High School Choral Department.

Participants go through the steps of learning the vocals and choreography to a performance number, with kids working one-on-one with members of Prospect's award-winning mixed company and company show choirs. At day's end, workshop attendees will share the stage with the Prospect show choir members in a concert for family and friends.

No formal choral or dance training is required. No auditions are necessary. All ability levels are welcome. The fee is $30, and includes dinner, a snack and a commemorative T-shirt.
