Local courses should discount for seniors
I have a problem with the Mount Prospect golf courses (park district) - as a senior citizen in this village for 30 years as well as many more seniors who golf - the prices are outrageous for seniors.
• Mount Prospect Golf Course, the senior discount only with discount card: $57.
• Old Orchard C.C., no senior discount: $54.
• Rob Roy, only if you live in certain parts of the district: $18.
In these economic times and the beating we seniors are getting, it's a shame. And no wonder these courses aren't booming with business any more. Who can afford it?
I have golfed at other area courses and was pleasantly surprised at all the senior discounts.
Shame on the Mount Prospect golf and park districts.
