Why the slow pace on Afghanistan?

Huh? I don't get it. First, the Obama administration found it urgent to quickly pass a stimulus bill, a voluminous document which few, if any, had a chance to read and peruse.

Then came the cap-and-trade bill, almost as important to rush through in order to save the world from global warming. That was followed by a health care bill, which few wanted but must be adopted posthaste despite little facts as to how it would be financed or administered.

Today, our U.S. troops are struggling to bring some semblance of normalcy to Afghanistan and begging for support in this effort. Never mind that our precious young are dying there at a record pace; the Obama administration considers this as a problem that must be studied at length and would take some time to come to a solution.

Where are the priorities?
