Don't let greed sink health care reform

Americans, wake up.

The politicians who are claiming health care for all is too expensive have the best health coverage in the world, and no fear of exclusion because of pre-existing conditions for themselves or their families. There will not be any tag days for their family members if they have misfortune to be diagnosed with some terrible disease or affliction.

It is quite obvious that the put-money-first-before-people crowd is on the loose. Shame on those politicians. Why is a person called a liberal when they show compassion for their fellow man?

Also, the Daily Herald is losing its objectivity. Last week after President Obama gave his joint address to Congress, the Daily Herald featured interviews with three Republicans and only one Democrat on the front page. Those three Republicans are charter members of the put money ahead of people crowd. Why did not Daily Herald interview two Democrats and two Republicans reflecting a policy of fairness and objectivity?

Again, the question must be asked as to why does Congress have their own pension plan instead of Social Security? There is absolutely no logical reason for Congress, for pension purposes, to have anything other than Social Security.

Americans, wake up. You are being chased by a huge, out of control, steamroller that is manned by the twin evils of greed and elitism.
