Dist. 79 wants help in superintendent search
As they search for a new superintendent, Fremont Elementary District 79 officials want help from local parents.
Specifically, officials with the Mundelein-area district want to know what types of characteristics parents want the next administrator to embody.
Current Superintendent Rick Taylor plans to retire in June 2010. He's held the post since 2002.
The board has hired a consulting firm called Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates to assist with the search. The firm is reaching out to parents for input.
Parents can participate by completing a leadership profile assessment form. The document is available by calling Andrea Hesse at (847) 566-0169 or emailing her at ahesse@fremont.lake.k12.il.us.
Interested parents can also attend an open forum scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday in the Fremont Middle School cafeteria, 28871 N. Fremont Center Road.
Parents should bring completed leadership profile assessment forms to the forum.
If they can't attend, completed forms may be mailed to the district office at 28855 North Fremont Center Road, Mundelein, Ill., 60060. They can also be emailed to ahesse@fremont.lake.k12.il.us or faxed to Hesse at (847) 566-7280.
Forms must be returned by Thursday.
Taylor announced his plans to retire in June.
